Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited today revised its 2018/19 forecast Farmgate Milk Price from $6.75 per kgMS to a range of $6.25-$6.50 per kgMS and increased its forecast New Zealand milk collection volumes by 1.3 per cent to 1,550 million kgMS. For example, a 5 cent higher farm-gate Milk Price is less than 1% of a farm-gate Milk Price of $7.50, but is around 15% of Fonterra’s recent normalised underlying operating earnings of 30-35 cents per share.
